Corpse Bride is a stop-motion film directed by Tim Burton, released in 2005. Victor Van Dort is the son of a newly rich fish merchant and is arranged to marry Victoria Everglot, the daughter of an aristocrat on the brink of bankruptcy. Although both are initially very anxious about the arranged marriage, they fall in love when they meet. However, due to his anxiety, Victor ruins their wedding rehearsal and retreats into a forest where he repeats his vows and accidentally marries the dead Emily.

Stop motion is a technique used to create animation, where an object moved by someone else appears to move on its own. The object is moved very slowly and photographed frame by frame. The quick succession of photos creates the illusion that it is moving by itself!
